Dear WMS Musicians and Families,

I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are having a great start to the school year!

Thank you to those who voted for us for “Best of Gold” last spring – we won! We couldn’t have done it without our incredible students, families, and teachers. You are the heart of everything we do, and your support means the world to us.

Last month many of our WMS students successfully auditioned for area youth orchestras. The results are posted in the KUDOS! section below.

WMS is launching a software platform that will make everyone’s lives – ours and yours – easier. Details below!

Our calendar is up on the website. This winter the church where we have our recitals doesn’t have 2 days available on the same weekend. We’ll have one day of recitals Sunday, December 7 and then one day on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

We are also going to have students perform at senior centers throughout the year. First up is Brightview in Norwalk on November 5th at 4PM. Let us know if you’d like to perform!

During the summer some of our
talented students were busy musicians!

Flutists Alma and Kian participated in the Charles Ives Music Festival. They performed in orchestra as well as chamber music concerts.

Kian also participated in the Manhattan School of Music Summer
program where he played chamber music and in orchestra.

Flutist Emma participated in a BackCountry Jazz Summer Music Camp in Bridgeport. She also performed in the Wilton Children’s Theater
production of Beetlejuice and Wire Mill’s production of Mean Girls.

If you’re not feeling well, please do not come to your lesson in person
in order to help keep our staff, teachers, students, and families healthy.
We have many options available so you don’t miss out on your lesson!
You can always have a virtual lesson and have your lesson from home, request a pre-recorded video lesson in advance of your lesson, or send a friend or family member in your place!
