A  Board Member of the New York Piano Society, Richard Jorgensen is a pianist, composer, and teacher. His piano instructors include Regina Mittler of the Vienna Conservatory of Music, Michael Cannon of the Juilliard School, and Constance Keene the former chair of the piano department at the Manhattan School of music.

A composer of over fifty works for solo piano and piano ensembles Richard’s composition study was furthered at the Juilliard School with Stanley Wolfe, and at the Mannes School of Music under David Tcimpidis.
