Terry Szor

Terry Szor has appeared with the New York Philharmonic, Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, Brooklyn Philharmonic, the Bronx Arts Ensemble among many others. He has performed for several Broadway shows, Radio City Music Hall, numerous television and radio commercials, and soundtracks for video games. He also performs as the principal trumpet with Opera Saratoga, Hudson Valley Philharmonic, and the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players.

As a member of the award-winning Saturday Brass Quintet (Walter W. Naumburg Chamber Music Award, Fischoff Chamber Music Competition), he’s concertized nationwide at venues such as The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, presenting masterclasses at the Juilliard School, the San Francisco Conservatory, serving as Quintet-in-Residence at the Manhattan School of Music for five years, as well as giving numerous educational presentations through the roster of Lincoln Center’s Meet the Artist, Carnegie Hall’s Neighborhood Concert Program, New York Young Audiences, and New Jersey Young Audiences.

A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, past teaching includes the Center for Arts Education, Brooklyn Arts Council, and Midori and Friends. Mr. Szor is currently on the faculties of the Juilliard School’s MAP program and the Mannes School of Music Prep Faculty at the New School.
