Nadya Meykson holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Violin Performance from the Eastman School of Music, where she served as a Teaching Assistant to Mikhail Kopelman. Her principal teachers also include Levon Ambartsumian, Alexander Volobuev, Alvia Vandysheva, Elvira Simonova, and Ai-Yi Bao.

Nadya is a dedicated educator with extensive experience teaching students of various ages and levels. She has taught at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Williamsburg Music Studio, Bronx House, Music School of Westchester, and The New York Conservatory of Music. Nadya has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at venues including Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center, Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall at the Moscow State Philharmonic Society, David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and David Josefowitz Recital Hall at the Royal Academy of Music in London. As a soloist, she has appeared with the OSSIA Orchestra, Shoals Symphony Orchestra, Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra, and Alabama Youth Symphony Orchestra, and has received the Noel Levine Award, First Prize at the Ray Dunmyer Youth Concerto Competition, and First Prize at the Shoals Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition. In 2018, she graduated from the Film Scoring program at the Moscow Film School. In 2019, she was selected to participate in Envision Sound, a film-scoring program led by Emmy Award-winning composer Michael Price.

Nadya has worked with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, The Orchestra Now, The State Academic Chamber Orchestra of Russia, the Nordic Symphony Orchestra in Estonia, the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theater, the South Florida Symphony Orchestra, and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2014, in collaboration with pianist Victoria Schwartzman, Nadya released the album Postludium, sponsored by the COJECO Blueprint Fellowship.
