Emilie Roberts Hannon

In New York, Emilie premiered leading roles in five original musicals and appeared in several plays produced Off-Broadway. She has performed leading roles in professional regional theatrical and operatic productions, from Laurie in Oklahoma! to the Queen of the Night in Magic Flute, and supporting roles from Deathtrap to The Sound of Music, including 8(!) shows at Summer Theatre of New Canaan, and she has appeared in musical revues and concerts across the country.

Emilie’s professional choral experience includes singing in concert with the Camerata Singers and Leonard Bernstein, and performing extensively domestically and internationally with the professional choir of Trinity Church, Wall Street. Her professional choral work can be heard on Columbia and Naxos Records.

Emilie has been teaching voice for more than 17 years. In addition to her academic training at the Juilliard School (BM Degree) and the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David (MA in Vocal Pedagogy), Emilie studied acting with theatrical giant Robert Lewis.

An adjunct Professor of Music at the University of Bridgeport, teaching private voice and Introduction to Theatre, Ms. Hannon is a proud member of NATS, AEA, and SAG, and a member and past president of the Theatre Artists’ Workshop.
